Angela (Angie) Cook – Director of Payroll
Angie is a Payroll specialist with over 25 years’ experience internationally and in Australia. She has in-depth experience with public sector, education, and private industries. She commenced her payroll career in the UK in small businesses managing the payroll and financial reports for not-for-profit organisations. Additionally, her international experience included Toshiba and The Wrigley Company.
After moving to Australia in 2007, Angie worked with a number of high profile Australian public and private sector organisations including Air Services Australia, CSIRO and the Australian War Memorial. Graduating from Charles Sturt University (CSU) in 2011, Angie was the HR Operations Manager for CSIRO, leading the change management programs and developing a number of critical projects to improve people outcomes for the organisation.
As the Manager, Remuneration and Benefits at the University of Canberra (UC) in 2012, Angie managed teams’ on-shore and off-shore and through her multi-skilling and analytical ability, concurrently developed and provided outsource payroll solutions to other organisations.
Angie consistently strives to foster and build strong relationships and networks across and beyond organisations, and at every level; this approach has always been both welcomed and led to positive organisational improvements. She is a highly respected professional with an excellent reputation, both personally and professionally, always putting people first and developing her team’s payroll skills and output.
Angie’s key strength is her ability to communicate and simplify complex payroll and superannuation legislation. This approach has ensured optimal payroll and outcome solutions are communicated to all White Pillar clients, assisting them with their compliance obligations.
